GhostBed Mattress Materials

The GhostBed Mattress has the perfect balance of comfort and support, with 4 layers to ensure maximum comfort. The first layer is a plush cover with a blend of viscose and polyester, which makes it stretchable and provides a plush feel. CertiPur-US Certified. The second layer consists of 1½” Aerated Latex Foam, which have a naturally responsive, plush feel.

This layer also does not retain heat, allowing for air circulating and cooling feel. Next layer is a 2” Gel Memory Foam, which larger cells compared to other mattress brands. The larger cells make the mattress more reactive to the body, meaning cooler nights for your sleep. Lastly the final layer is a 7.5” High-Density Base, which provides more support and longevity for more comfort.

Bed Frame Compatibility

It is recommended to purchase the matching foundation/box spring to support your new GhostBed. In order to maintain the longevity of your mattress, you should lay the mattress on a flat surface or a box spring/foundation that is in good condition. If you wish to use another type of foundation or box spring, this mattress can be laid on a base with slats no longer than 4 inches apart, platform bed or the floor for good results.

GhostBed Mattress Performance

GhostBed Mattress Classic

Motion Transfer & Off Gassing

The foam and latex layers within this mattress act as a great motion isolator as these layers can easily suppress the impact of any sudden movements. Upon delivery, there is a slight initial smell that is likened to the smell of a new car. This smell will go away within days.

Firmness & Support

The GhostBed Classic is only available in one firmness option and is quite firm due to the foam layers. Its high-density foundation layer creates a firm base which makes your mattress much more durable and stable. The comfortable layers of latex and memory foam work together to prevent any sinking or impressions as well as contort to your body position and also creates a comfortable bounce.

Temperature

It’s cooling gel layer retains heat and allows for a restful and cooling night’s sleep. Even though foam mattresses are known for retaining heat, the latex foam will allow for air to flow and help maintain cooler temperatures. GhostBed’s innovative technology makes the gel memory foam layer much more reactive to the body that allows for cooler and comfortable nights.

Edge Support

As this is a foam and latex mattress, the GhostBed does not have an additionally boundary across the outside edge of the mattress which results in a lack of edge support. Its high-density support foundation may help in stabilising the edge, yet you will not find the same edge support provided with innerspring mattresses.

Material Quality

Made in America with its high-quality materials locally sourced. The GhostBed is made up of three layers starting off with a 7-and-a-half-inch high density base that increases the support of your body whilst you sleep and also makes your mattress much more durable. Alongside a layer of gel-infused memory foam, a layer of synthetic rubber latex finishes off structure of the mattress. This latex is incredibly similar to natural latex and is unlikely to flake or crack throughout the years. The cover is made of viscose and polyester which gives you a luxurious plush feel.

A Queen size mattress is fairly reasonable price for the quality you are receiving. However, if you find that you cannot pay the full amount, GhostBed have partnered with Affirm which allows you to pay for your mattress in installations.  In addition, the website regularly offers discount codes, so you can get your mattress for cheaper.
