Latex mattresses are very similar to memory foam mattresses, in terms of construction, however the material is very different. This type of mattress is manufactured in 2 different ways Dunlop and Talalay, the less expensive method is Dunlop, which produces a firm latex mattress. Whereas Talalay method uses a vacuum method which is more expensive, and produces a softer latex mattress with more bounce. So if you are back sleeper you may prefer latex mattress made from Dunlop method, and if you are a stomach sleeper, then consider a latex mattress made from Dunlop.

Hybrid mattresses are becoming more and more popular, as it combines all the best features from Memory Foam, Spring & Latex Mattress. Some hybrid will use all combinations, or some may only use memory foam as the base or top and then use Spring in the middle to give the mattress a bounce and also reduce cost.
