Emma Mattress USA Sizes

Mattress Type

The Emma Mattress is a memory foam mattress made and developed by experts with the aim to provide the best comfort and support. This mattress has a focus on cooling and uses breathable Airgocell® foam to keep heat out of the mattress and give sleepers a cooling sleep.

PROS

Extremely well-balanced, which makes it one of the most versatile mattresses on the market based on sleeping position.

Even a new mattress tends to be odor-free, which is ideal as many people dislike the new mattress smell created by the off-gassing process.

CONS

Unfortunately, the Emma mattress does have poor edge support

Most light- or medium-weight individuals will find this mattress very comfortable, but some heavier individuals may find that the mattress is too soft for their needs.

Mattress Layers and Materials

Emma Mattress

This memory foam mattress is made from top quality materials and has 3 layers of memory foam. Firstly, the mattress has a climate regulating cover, this helps to support air circulation, regulate heat by keeping moisture and heat out. The first layer is an Airgocell® foam layer that adapts to pressure and responds to your body movement whilst you sleep, giving great comfort. Second layer is another layer of memory foam that aims to distribute pressure evenly and lets the mattress contour to your body. The final memory foam layer is for spinal alignment, it uses HRX material to provide counter pressure and alignment for your lower back and support your shoulder.

Mattress Firmness

In terms of mattress firmness, the Emma Mattress ranks as medium soft and lands on 5/10 on the mattress firmness scale. Since the first layer is made from Airgocell® foam layer, it helps to relieve pressure and doesn’t cause our body to sink into the mattress, making this mattress best for sleepers who are lighter in body size and sleep on their side.

The Emma Mattress is great for side sleepers, as the firmness is at a medium soft level. Also, the final memory foam layer made from HRX material helps with shoulder support, so if you have an achy shoulder and sleep on your side, then this mattress will be a good one to try.

Sleeping Positions

For those shopping for a new mattress, it can be hard and frustrating, as its sometimes hard to find the right mattress for your sleeping position. The Emma mattress has been designed for all types of sleeping positions and aims to keep your spine aligned, however we have found that some sleeping positions have been comfier than others. For those who sleep on their side, the Emma Mattress would be a perfect fit, as the pressure relief layer provides great support and pressure relief to your shoulders and hip, which are important areas for side sleepers.

Back sleepers will also benefit from the Emma Mattress, as it has great body contouring and the provides good sink age. The layers of foam performed well in filling the gap between the arch of my back and the mattress, which gives great back support. Lastly for stomach sleepers, the Emma Mattress may not be the right choice, as the firmness is too soft and will not provide the best support for your sleep position.

Edge Support

If you find that you like to roll around a lot during your sleep and often sleep on or near the edge of the mattress, then it’s important to investigate the edge support of the mattress, edge support is also important if you share your bed with a partner. A mattress edge support looks at how much support or firmness the edge of a mattress has, for the Emma Mattress it has an average edge support and some have said that whilst laying on the Emma Mattress, it feels as though they will roll off the mattress and when sitting on the edge of the mattress, there is quite a sinkage.

Motion Transfer

For those sharing a mattress, you may have been woken up at times by your partner moving around the mattress, which can be frustrating for light sleepers, so it’s important to look at a mattress motion transfer if you share your bed.

Although the Emma mattress is made from only 3 layers of memory foam, it performs very well in motion transfer. Many have reviewed that when sleeping on the Emma Mattress, no motion was felt when others made movement, this means if your partner, pet or child moves around on the bed, you won’t feel it.

Emma Mattress Bedframe

Bed Frame Compatibility

The Emma mattress has been designed and made to fit on any type of bed frame, as long as the bed frame is the same size as the mattress. We don’t recommend using a box spring bass with this memory foam mattress, as it may affect the performance of the mattress.

Warranty and Trial

Like many beds in box brands, the Emma mattress offers a nice sleep trial period and warranty. With the Emma Mattress, there is a 100-night trial, free return and 10-year warranty. Once ordered, the Emma mattress will be delivered in a box for free.

How to Unbox The Emma Mattress

The Emma mattress is very easy to set up and arrives compacted in a box.

Step One – place the boxed mattress in the room where the mattress will be used

Step Two – Carefully open the box

Step Three – Place the rolled mattress onto the bedframe or area where it will be used

Step Four – Carefully remove the plastic cover

Step Five – Now wait for your mattress to expand
